How To Wear Lace for AW12 (for a Low-Budget)

Last Monday I showed you how to style a statement sweater for a high-budget. However today, I’m going to show you how to wear lace this coming season (AW12) for a low-budget.

This season lace gets a makeover – gone are the white frilly dresses, and in are the tough, directional, new pieces. Black or navy blue lace teamed with leather gives the traditionally, girly and demure fabric a new spin. Toughen the look up with some killer heels a sharp, boxy clutch and a pop of colour.

So here’s how to wear lace for AW12 for a low-budget:

Top – Zara – Leather Front Waistcoat (£35.99).
Skirt – Topshop – Black Lace Peplum Skirt (£38).
Heels – Topshop – RYDER Skinny Buckle Sandals (£55).
Necklace – Zara – Pendant Necklace With Smoky Gemstones and Neon Ribbon (£22.99).
Clutch – ASOS – Hard Diamond Clutch (Was £25, Now £10).

This skirt ticks two of AW12’s trends in one – lace and peplums. Team it with this tough leather waistcoat – rocking another trend this season! These strappy heels add more attitude to this outfit, but keep it looking smart. The clutch and necklace add a much-needed pop of colour to the outfit. Slick hair back into a glossy ponytail, and add a flick of eyeliner to the corner of your eyes. Keep the rest of your makeup neutral and a dark grey on your nails will complete the look and rock the gothic trend for this season!

Check out my blog next Monday where I will be showing you How To Wear Lace for AW12 (for a High-Budget)!
