How To Do: Summer Evening Wear for a Low-Budget

Last Monday I showed you what to wear to an Ibiza party for a high-budget, however today, I’m going to show you how to do summer evening wear for a low-budget.

Summer evening wear is about getting the right balance between something summery and cool, and something glamorous – because often a long, flowing evening gown can be just too hot on a nice, summer’s evening. So here are my tips: Go for something short (ish) and lightweight to keep cool, maybe something brightly coloured or printed to feel summery, and something in a silky fabric to increase the glam factor. Finish off with gold jewellery and some smart heels – and you have the perfect summer outfit!

So, here’s how:

Dress – Zara – Printed Sequinned Dress (£69.99).
Heels – Topshop – GAME Metallic Pointed Courts (£48).
Earrings – Topshop – Organic Triangle Drop Earrings (£10).
Cuff – Just Acces – Gold Vero Cuff Bracelet (£15). Available at ASOS.com.
Clutch – ASOS – Snake Bar Purse (Was £12, Now £8).

This elegant ensemble will ensure you keep cool on hot summers evenings, and stylish at the same time! The silver heels add edginess to the pretty dress, whilst glamming up the outfit; the gold earrings and cuff are there to add embellishment and more glamour; and the clutch contrasts the blue hues of the dress. Personally I would keep makeup very natural – maybe add a bit of blusher. For your hair, a plaited halo would look stunning and would definitely add to the elegance of this outfit. A pale blue, or pink on your nails would finish the look perfectly!
