How To Do: Early Summer Beach Dressing for a Low-Budget
Last Monday I showed you how to get the sunny, tropical look for a high-budget. However, today I’m going to show you how to dress your way into summer for a low-budget.
Early summer is on us already – sunny but breezy in the evenings. It can be cold if you don’t dress warmly – but how do you wrap up and stay stylish at the same time? Taking inspiration from D&G, wear a brightly coloured thin knit with scarf printed shorts or bikini bottoms.Team the look with sandals or scarf printed wedges, as well as a beach tote and big sunglasses, for a look that is chic but warm.
So here’s how to get the look for a low-budget:
Jumper – La Redoute – V-neck Cable Knit Sweater with Suedette Elbow Patches (£29)
Shorts – Glamorous (available from ASOS) – Scarf Print Shorts (£22)
Sandals – Topshop – HAWAII Chain Print Sandals (£25)
Bag – Zara – Pleated Messenger Bag (£19.99)
Sunglasses – Topshop – Grey Plastic Aviator (£16)
The navy scarf printed shorts are a perfect accompaniment to the pale yellow jumper – the colours balance out well to stop the yellow making you look washed-out. The scarf printed sandals work well with the shorts, and the bag injects a bit of bright, summery, colour. The grey aviators are a cool finishing touch – only to be paired with minimal makeup and beachy hair.
