Marni for H&M: My Favourite Pieces and How I’d Style Them

Last Thursday, I showed you my highlights of London Fashion Week, February 2012: Day 4. However today, I’m going to share with you my favourite pieces from the Marni for H&M, and how I’d style them.

Marni for H&M launched on Thursday (8th of March) and most of the pieces have already sold out! Marni is an Italian label, founded by Consuelo Castiglioni, who is also the brand’s Creative Director, brings together all of its signature prints and fabrics for this capsule collection for H&M. The commercial and images were shot by Sophia Coppola. Here’s my favourite image from the collection , and click here to watch the commercial.

So, here’s my first outfit collage:

The silky pyjama top and shorts are a great way to conquer lots of trends this season; short suits, and pyjamas are both bang on trend, and what’s more, by keeping the accessories neutral, you can work the pastel trend too! Keep hair lightly tousled for a ‘not-too-polished’ look.

Blouse – Marni for H&M – £69.99 (Currently sold out)
Shorts – Marni for H&M – £34.99 (Currently sold out)
Sunglasses – A.J Morgan Brown – Say What Sunglasses – £11.99 – Available from New Look
Heels – Zara – Court Shoe With Asymmetric Heel – £39.99
Clutch – Topshop – Leather Colour Block Purse – £16

The next collage epitomizes funky, Italian, style:

This polka-dot dress is fabulous! It will make any look instantly summery. Pair it with these platform peep-toes and this classic leather tote. Finish it off with a plastic necklace, retro sunnies (that add a pop of colour as well as glam), and tie the scarf around your hair, to create a perfectly stylish, Italian inspired look to last you the whole of summer!

Dress – Marni for H&M – £59.99 (Currently sold out)
Leather Sandalettes – Marni for H&M – £69.99
Bag – Marni for H&M – £59.99 (Currently sold out)
Scarf (on bag) – Marni for H&M – £19.99 (Currently sold out)
Necklace – Marni for H&M – £34.99 (Currently sold out)
Sunglasses – Topshop – Extreme Cats Eye Sunglasses By Squint Topshop – £22

The next collage focusses on the printed trousers:

This is cool-girl day wear, and again, this outfit rocks the pyjama trend. The top set off the trousers perfectly, because it is very simple, and will not detract from the crazy, metallic, printed trousers.  This minimal silhouette is a great way to look cool this summer and by pairing it with sleek hair in a high ponytail, boxy sunglasses and metallic flats, you will surely stand out from the crowd. Add the plastic backpack for a quirky, fashion twist!

Top – Marni for H&M – £34.99 (Currently sold out)
Trousers – Marni for H&M – £59.99 (Currently sold out)
Sunglasses – Marni for H&M – £19.99 (Currently sold out)
Leather sandals – Marni for H&M – £39.99
Frost Plastic Backpack – Topshop – £25

The next collage rocks the tribal trend:

The key to making this look work is confidence. Team this great print tunic dress with a clear tote, plastic green necklace, and chunky, colourful bangles. For extra definition, cinch the dress in at the waist with this belt. Wear with crazy heels, zingy blood-orange nails and sleek hair for a summery finish.

Dress – TU by Gok Wan – £30 (Available at Sainsbury’s)
Necklace – Marni for H&M – £34.99 (Currently sold out)
Bag – Marni for H&M – £29.99

  1. I really hope that I can find a store here in Israel that carries a few of these items. They are really great!
